  • Black Friday. The day for shopping.............So I thought.
I call mom to ask her what she wants to Christmas, and find out that she's in need of going to the hospital because her Crohn's disease is flaring up. I drop the things I was about to purchase and race across town to get her. She's been there about 6 times this year, the worst her Crohn's has been. Thus delaying me getting any school work done even more. I was way behind and I have two weeks to somehow cram it all in.
Yet there's some kind of thrill of having my back against the wall like that, in a do or die situation. I always pull through, and today proved no different. I got caught up very quickly with everything. Not only that, but the Cavs are on fire with one of the best records in the NBA. Can Cleveland finally bring home a championship?

So 3 months ago I come into work to find this new girl working the pay window in the drive thru. Cute girl too, and dressed conservatively so I hoped she was Christian. It took me a few months to get up some courage to talk to her, other than hello or good bye. Oddly enough, as I was walking to class one Friday morning I glanced in the room acrossed from mine and she was in there. I meet her for lunch one day just to get to know her. Awesome girl, and a Christian as well.
I go to ask her to go on a date with me as I was leaving work a few nights ago and as I was about to ask her, the manager on duty says "I thought you were out of here?" "Well, maybe I was gonna talk to ------ here before I leave." Then the most unlucky thing happened to me, which it usually does. "What, are you trying to get a date?" the manager asks. I wanted to turn to her and say "GOOD JOB YOU JUST DERAILED MY TRAIN!" But I didn't get mad nor did I decide not to ask. I just sighed, shrugged and asked the girl, "Wanna go out with some friends and I next Friday night?" She was busy but I did get her number and email. But some told me afterward that she said she really wasn't looking for someone right now, but I didn't hear it from her. Great, welcome to those conflicting voices in my head that non-stop come up with positives and negatives about the whole thing. My young adult confidence fighting my teenage insecurity. So for once I decide to fight the depression that would usually set in during uncertainty (I got other things going on as well, so I'm already stretched thin) and just kept talking to God about it. I figured I'll go out with her some night here soon, and if she really doesn't want to go further, than it won't. But what's the harm in at least going out once?

And as far as I know, Walsh is still alive.

  • Fall Semester.
Last semester I didn't do so well. 3 D's and a B. First class was at 7am, and then a 3 hour wait til my 11am Stats class, math being my worst subject. I sleptwalked my way through the first semester, and barely made it. Not to mention recovering from a really bad break up just after Christmas.
Now I only go down to campus 2 days a week, and the earliest I have to be there is 9am on Friday, and 2 classes online. I'm well over the relationship deal. Since I've been through it once, I feel more confident (maybe even cocky) about this semester. And the first day, this cute girl decides to sit near me, smiling at me when she walked in. And to make it even better, when doing those cheesy introductions they make us do, she said that she went on a missions trip with her church this summer. The rest of class was drown out by a heavenly choir. Luckily, the class wasn't much longer.
Looks like a good semester so far.

  • Are You Serious?

Robbiecole locked his keys in his trunk, so we wait while he calls the Springfield PD so they can come open his door. He lives one minute from the Police Station so we figure this will be a quick thing and we can move on with our lives quite soon...............
Half an hour later, they finally show up.
    Are you serious?
...........And they go to the wrong house.
    Are you serious?
...........Actually get out of the car and go up to what they think is a 2004 Toyota Carola and start examining it.
    Are you serious?
...........They finally realize that the car they are supposed to break into is 200 feet further up the road, the one with the Robbiecole leaning against it, the very Robbiecole that is leaning there saying.....
    "Are you serious?"
...........They get up to it, get out and take a look and say that their technology is out of date, and that they cannot help Robbiecole out.
    Are you serious?
